Government Minister Anil Roberts yesterday steered clear of commenting on Mark Bassant’s exclusive Sunday Express story titled “The $440m LifeSport Rip-off” which occurred under his tenure as Minister of Sport in the previous UNC administration.
Instead, in his daily “Doubles and Coffee” social media post, he challenged former attorney general Faris Al-Rawi to call his (Roberts’) name in any controversy, as he pointed to several issues that he said warrant answers.
Roberts, a minister in the Ministry of Housing and a Government senator, called on Al-Rawi to respond and also urged the Express to investigate whether fraud was perpetrated under Al-Rawi’s tenure in the rental of a building owned by his relatives to the Government.
