Minister Anil Roberts may have breached the Integrity in Public Life Act when, in seeking to âdenigrateâ Prime Minister of St Vincent Ralph Gonsalves and his family, he disclosed confidential information in respect of their ownership of three apartments at Victoria Keyes.
So said former housing minister Randall Mitchell, who was housing minister (2016-18) at the time when at least one of the apartments was purchased.
Roberts, in a vlog posted on his Facebook page on Tuesday, accused Gonsalves of being disrespectful to Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar for calling her âmisguidedâ on her policy with respect to US military operations in the Caribbean sea. Roberts said Gonsalves was âbeholden to...and sounded like a PNMâ because the Gonsalvesâ family had received âgreat benefitsâ from the PNM. He displayed HDC documents pertaining to the sale of properties at Victoria Keyes to Eloise Gonsalves (wife), Storm Gonsalves (son) and Soleil Gonsalves (daughter).
