A 23-year-old man from Princes Town has been re­mand­ed in­to cus­tody af­ter be­ing charged in con­nec­tion with a home in­va­sion that left a 24-year-old res­i­dent in­jured dur­ing the ear­ly hours of Sat­ur­day, May 30.

Po­lice said the in­ci­dent oc­curred around 5 am when the vic­tim awoke in his bed­room and found a man armed with a knife. A strug­gle broke out and the vic­tim sus­tained mi­nor in­juries be­fore the sus­pect fled.

Of­fi­cers from the Princes Town Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment and the Princes Town Po­lice Sta­tion re­spond­ed to the scene, car­ried out en­quiries, and in­ter­viewed wit­ness­es in the area.
