THE father of Angelica Saydee Jogie, who was killed in a jet-ski incident at Pigeon Point five months ago, is calling for closer monitoring of watercraft operators after eight people were injured recently in a collision between two pirogues near the Tobago beach.
Arnold Jogie said news of the collision brought back memories of the day he and his daughter, Angelica Saydee, were struck by a jet ski while bathing at Pigeon Point. Angelica died from her injuries.
“When I heard of the incident on the news, everything came back fresh to me,” Jogie told the Express yesterday. “The reporting on that incident also mentioned my daughter’s name and what took place. Sadly, something like this happened again.”
