Three men were gunned down in a brazen attack along Lange Street, Gonzales, Belmont, on Sunday evening, in what police have described as a targeted triple murder.
Among the deceased is 31-year-old Police Constable Davy Le Maitre of Upper Cocorite Terrace, Cocorite. Le Maitre, who was on suspension from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service at the time, was liming with four other men around 6:00 p.m. when a car pulled up and gunmen opened fire.
The other two victims remained unidentified. All three were rushed to the Port of Spain General Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
