Televisions were approved to be placed in the corridor of the prison, but not in a prisoner’s cell.
This was stated yesterday by both Commissioner of Prisons Carlos Corraspe and his predecessor, Deopersad Ramoutar, regarding Defence Minister Wayne Sturge’s statement that a 65-inch TV had been found in a prisoner’s cell. They both told the Express TVs are approved to be placed in common areas, but not exclusively for a prisoner in his cell.
