JOINT police and army posts became operational yesterday, the same day the state of emergency (SoE) came to an end.
The Tarouba facility was the first of three police and army posts (two others at Grand Bazaar and Tacarigua) expected to begin operations on Thursday as part of the Government’s crime-fighting initiative.
Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander, Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro and Deputy Commissioner of Police—Operations, Suzette Martin, and other senior officers visited the posts on Thursday morning.
