Cabinet has approved a plan for soldiers to stay on active duty months after the state of emergency ends.
This according to National Security Minister Marvin Gonzales, who also said yesterday that if there is not enough evidence to charge dozens of people who are currently detained, they will have to be released.
Gonzales was speaking with reporters following the police passing out parade of Batch Two of 2024 at the Police Training Academy, St James.
