Plan B: Joint police-army post opens as SoE ends

A joint police and army posts became operational on Thursday morning, the same day the state of emergency (SoE) came to an end.

The Tarouba facility was the first of three police and army posts (two others at Grand Bazaar and Tunapuna) expected to begin operations on Thursday as part of the Government’s crime-fighting initiative.

Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander, Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro and Deputy Commissioner of Police—Operations Suzette Martin and other senior officers visited the posts on Thursday morning.
