THE GOOD FRIDAY bobo­lees of two senior managers at the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT) were beaten “merci­lessly” yesterday as staff members protested their continued operations at the company during a midday protest at the company’s downtown Port of Spain headquarters.

Led by Communication Workers’ Union (CWU) secre­tary-general Joanne Ogeer, approximately ten workers held placards decrying the company’s chairman, Kern Dass; chief Human Resource officer Deborah Thomas; and the vice-president—Technical, Rattan Boodram.

There were effigies of all three managers, but the one of Thomas was not beaten, as Ogeer explained: “We don’t beat women.” The manager, however, was not spared from criticism.
