THE GOOD FRIDAY boboÂlees of two senior managers at the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT) were beaten âmerciÂlesslyâ yesterday as staff members protested their continued operations at the company during a midday protest at the companyâs downtown Port of Spain headquarters.
Led by Communication Workersâ Union (CWU) secreÂtary-general Joanne Ogeer, approximately ten workers held placards decrying the companyâs chairman, Kern Dass; chief Human Resource officer Deborah Thomas; and the vice-presidentâTechnical, Rattan Boodram.
There were effigies of all three managers, but the one of Thomas was not beaten, as Ogeer explained: âWe donât beat women.â The manager, however, was not spared from criticism.
