(Kaieteur News) – President Dr Irfaan Ali met with members of the 21st Chinese Medical Brigade, who are scheduled to depart Guyana after a one-year tour of duty. Over the past year, the 18-member team provided 11,500 outpatient consultations, treated 4,039 inpatients, and performed 2,500 surgical procedures.
The President was joined by Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony; Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hugh Todd; and Minister within the Ministry of Housing, Vanessa Benn.
