Two men, including a police trainee, were injured in a road traffic accident along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway early Thursday morning.
Police reported that around 1.15 a.m., a silver Mercedes Benz proceeding west along the highway collided with a white Nissan Cube at the intersection with BWIA Boulevard, Piarco.
According to investigators, the Mercedes, driven by a police trainee of Sangre Grande, was in cruise mode when the traffic lights turned red.
