A police constable was found dead inside the guard booth at the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government, Kent House, on Friday afternoon.
Around 3:30 p.m., Constable Jamal Charles and another officer were on duty when a gunshot was heard. Police said Charles had been speaking with his colleague, who turned his back briefly. Moments later, he heard the gunfire and found Charles with a gunshot wound to the head.
It is not yet known if the wound was self-inflicted. Investigators said they are exploring all possibilities.
