Engineers believe they have found a solution to the collapsed section of the highway at Mosquito Creek.
This involves the fabrication of geofoam, lightweight foundation blocks/backfill, which is being used to reduce the vertical stress on the subsoil and help to stabilise the affected area.
During a visit to the site on Tuesday, the Sunday Express noted that geofoam blocks were being laid, as the Government moves to meet its promised May 12 deadline.
