POLICE are searching for two men who escaped custody after a high-speed chase which resulted in their vehicle colliding with the marked police vehicle along the Uriah Butler Highway.
According to police reports, officers attached to the Highway Patrol Unit were conducting a drunk-driving exercise along Munroe Road, Chaguanas, near Abraham's Grill, around 11.05 p.m., on June 12, when Corporal Andrews attempted to stop a vehicle travelling west along the roadway.
The driver failed to comply and continued driving. PC Mosca, accompanied by PC James, then pursued the vehicle in a marked police patrol vehicle.
