Berbice man remanded on dangerous driving charge

Joshua Chan, 27, of Brehaspat Street, No. 2 Village, East Canje, Berbice, was remanded to prison on Wednesday on a dangerous driving charge.
Chan was arrested on October 13, 2026, along Heroes Highway for driving motor car PSS 3835 in a dangerous manner.
He was charged and appeared before Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him. He was subsequently remanded to prison until November 27, 2026.
