Man killed after alleged cutlass attack on Mayaro police

A man was shot and killed by police during a confrontation at Tucker Energy Services Limited, New Lands Village, Mayaro, early Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified only as Ricardo, of New Lands Village. Police said efforts were continuing to establish his full identity.
According to a police report, officers of the Mayaro Criminal Investigations Department were on mobile patrol around 4.45 a.m. when they responded to a report of an intruder on the compound of Tucker Energy Services who was allegedly stealing copper.
