No meaningful improvement in power generation since addition of 1.5 MW - Linden Mayor

(Kaieteur News) – Mayor of the Mining Town of Linden, Dominique Blair, on Friday said there has been no meaningful improvement in the electricity situation in his municipality since the additional 1.5 MW was recently added, while providing an update on the matter.

“Communities are still experiencing blackouts as of recent. The company [BOSAI] is still operating a load-shedding schedule. So, we have not seen any meaningful improvement since the addition of this 1.5 megawatts,” Mayor Blair revealed.

On August 23, this publication reported that the mining town of Linden had received an additional 1.5 MW in generator capacity to boost power supply for communities served by BOSAI, as peak demand continues to rise.
