(Kaieteur News) – Member of Parliament for the A Partnership for National Unity (APNU), Sharma Solomon, on Friday revealed that despite the town receiving additional power, it suffered 10 outages on Wednesday and Thursday.
Speaking on the current power generation situation, he said, “The power generation in Linden there is absolutely no improvement. Yesterday (Thursday) and over the past 48 hours that you had the Cabinet outreach we had 10 rounds of blackouts within the community.”
He reminded that BOSAI came onstream with an additional 1.5 MW of generation capacity, but said it has not done much to improve the situation. Homes and several businesses have been affected by unstable generation and frequent outages.
