For years, Shamara Francis hid a secret from the people closest to her – she once chased fast money under nightclub lights as a dancer.
But today, the 34-year-old is building a name for herself in Jamaica’s beauty industry, working alongside major corporate brands.
“I moved on from being a nighttime ballerina, because in life, it’s not where you start but where you will finish,” Francis said. “Being in the strip club, where I never even belonged, is a part of my journey. I was a dancer, I never did it in Jamaica, but I did it in the islands.”
