United National Congress councillor Vanessa Kussie was robbed at gunpoint along with a 45-year-old man while they were sitting outside a mini-mart in Perseverance, Couva, on Thursday night.
The robbery occurred around 9.25 pm outside Nick and Nigel Mini Mart along Richmond Street, where Kussie, 51, and the man were seated when two men approached them, pretending to be customers.
Police said one of the suspects pointed a firearm at the victims and announced a robbery.
