A po­lice of­fi­cer with less than a year of ser­vice re­mains in crit­i­cal con­di­tion at the Mt Hope Hos­pi­tal af­ter falling from the up­per lev­el of the San­gre Grande Po­lice Sta­tion.

The of­fi­cer, a Po­lice Con­sta­ble, is as­signed to the San­gre Grande Traf­fic Branch.

The po­lice ser­vice re­port­ed that around 4.30 pm on Fri­day, the con­sta­ble, who is still on pro­ba­tion, was at the po­lice women’s dor­mi­to­ry sit­u­at­ed on the east­ern side of the build­ing when he jumped through a win­dow. The of­fi­cer fell on top of a po­lice ve­hi­cle, shat­ter­ing its back wind­screen in the process.
