T&T cricketer Khary Pierre has been called up to the West Indies Test squad while Tagenarine Chanderpaul has been recalled for the tour of India.
Cricket West Indies has confirmed the 15-member squad for the two-Test series against India from October 2 to 14, with matches scheduled in Ahmedabad and Delhi. The series is part of the ICC World Test Championship and marks the team’s first away assignment in the new cycle as well as its first Test tour of India since 2018.
The squad includes three changes from the recent series against Australia. Opening batter Chanderpaul and batter Alick Athanaze return, while left-arm spinner Pierre has earned his maiden Test selection. Pierre was the leading wicket-taker in the West Indies Championship, claiming 41 wickets at an average of 13.56.
