LOS ANGELES, United States â As the entertainment industry gathered to celebrate black excellence at the 2026 BET Awards, Jamaican dancehall proudly had a seat at the table through international hitmaker Ding Dong, who stood as the nightâs leading representative for the genre.
While reggae and dancehall continue to influence music, fashion, and culture worldwide, representation at premier events like the BET Awards and BET Experience remains vital. Visibility creates opportunitiesânot only for artists, but also for the executives, producers, media personalities, and creatives working to elevate Caribbean culture on the global stage.
Also representing the Caribbean throughout BET Awards weekend were media executive and CODA Founder & CEO Lexi Chow, comedian and media personality Pretty Vee, producer DJ Mac, and Crash Dummyy.
