Although thousands of patrons from across Jamaica and the Diaspora travelled to Plantation Cove in St Ann to witness the highly anticipated reunion of dancehall rivals Vybz Kartel and Mavado on the same stage at A Taste of Sumfest, the nightâs supporting acts proved they were more than capable of delivering memorable moments of their own.
From explosive pyrotechnics and dazzling fireworks to energetic choreography and crowd-pleasing performances, the annual Reggae Sumfest warm-up event transformed Plantation Cove into a pulsating celebration of dancehall culture long before the nightâs main attraction.
The nightâs entertainment included music from selectors Code Red Sound, C Note Sound, DJ Mac and Baba, Boom Boom, DJ Ashile, DJ Tom & Reavers, and Ricky Platinum, who kept the energy high with a carefully curated mix of dancehall anthems that had patrons dancing from the early hours of the evening.
