“The suspension of advertising currently affecting the media is a press freedom issue,” journalist and media consultant Sunity Maharaj has said.

Maharaj, a former Independent senator, was speaking yesterday at the launch of The Village of One, the debut book by Express multi-media editor Richard Charan at the Central Bank Museum in Port of Spain.

In the audience were Education Minister Dr Michael Dowlath, host Prof Kenneth Ramchand who both spoke glowingly of the book, and Central Bank Governor Larry Howai.
