Health MinÂisÂter Dr LackÂram BoÂdoe has anÂnounced that the CouÂva ChilÂdren’s HosÂpiÂtal will beÂgin acÂceptÂing paÂtients beÂfore the end of the year, as the minÂistry moves to fulÂly opÂerÂaÂtionalise the faÂcilÂiÂty afÂter a decade of limÂitÂed use.
SpeakÂing to reÂporters folÂlowÂing a lapÂtop disÂtriÂbÂuÂtion event at PeÂnal SecÂondary yesÂterÂday, Dr BoÂdoe said the openÂing fulÂfils a promise made by Prime MinÂisÂter KamÂla PerÂsad-BissesÂsar more than 12 years ago.
“It was the promise she again made on the camÂpaign trail that this hosÂpiÂtal would be opened,” he said.
