TWO DAYS after the April 28 general elections were held, the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) released to the media its official results of the polls which showed the United National Congress (UNC) winning with 26 seats, while the People's National Movement (PNM) won 13 seats, and the fledgling Tobago People's Party (TPP) winning the two Tobago seats.
The EBC said that in the course of its continued assessments, it identified and implemented minor adjustments to the overall vote tallies as compared to the initial preliminary results released on April 29.
"These refinements are part of the commission’s standard verification process and reflect its ongoing commitment to accuracy, transparency, and the integrity of the electoral process," the release said.
