The North Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA) has denied social media posts that propagate that a senior medical professional has proposed the reuse of consumables.
Consumables are non-durable, single-use medical supplies used for patient care, diagnosis, or treatment procedures, and are typically discarded after a single use.
“I categorically deny having given any instruction to reuse consumables at Mt Hope Women’s Hospital,” stated the medical professional in a statement issued by the NCRHA on Thursday afternoon.
