The North Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA) categorically rejects the false, misleading,and alarmist claims circulating on social media regarding oxygen systems at the Mt. HopeWomen’s Hospital NICU.

At approximately 1:58 p.m., a temporary low-voltage issue affected oxygen line pressure withinthe system and triggered an alarm. NCRHA Engineering and Maintenance teams, alongside theexternal supplier, were swiftly on hand to rectify the issue, while the standby reserve oxygensupply was promptly activated as part of established contingency measures to maintain therequired oxygen flow and pressure to the unit in the interim.

At no time were patients without oxygen or placed at risk.
