The North Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA) has rejected claims circulating online that staff lockers were forcibly broken into or that personal items were discarded at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC).
The Authority stated that the lockers shown in the video had been scheduled for removal and replacement as part of ongoing facility upgrades. Heads of Department were formally informed in advance and asked to advise staff to remove personal belongings before the process began.
The NCRHA emphasized that no personal belongings were discarded. It added that the circulation and framing of the video were intended to create alarm among staff and the public by misrepresenting a routine authorized process.
