THE Community-based Environmental Protection and Enhancement Programme (CEPEP) has filed legal action against its former chairman, Joel Edwards, and its former board, alleging deceit and negligence over the mass extension of service contracts just days before the 2025 general election.
The claim, filed on Thursday, has been docketed before Justice Christopher Sieuchand.
Named as defendants alongside Edwards are former directors Geeta Rampersad, Kirt Bernard, Thomas Sanoir, Wendell Williams, Yinka Jagbir-Garcia, Camille Hosein, Maurissa Smith, Robert Lee, Brian Rock and Michael Seales.
