Barbadian sprinter Kelia Bentham booked her place in the women’s 200 metres final with a season’s best performance as the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games continued in the Dominican Republic on Wednesday.
Competing in semifinal two, Bentham finished second in 23.20 seconds to secure her spot in the final.
In the men’s 200m, Barbadians Aragorn Straker and Kuron Griffith exited at the semifinal stage. Straker finished sixth in semifinal two in 21.22 seconds and did not advance, while Griffith was fourth in semifinal three in 20.67 seconds and also missed out on a place in the final.
