Barbadian tennis player Hannah Chambers recorded two victories for Team Barbados at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in the Dominican Republic on Friday.

Chambers battled past El Salvador’s Gabriella Tevez in a three-set encounter, winning the opening set 6-3 before losing the second 3-6. She recovered in the decisive set, winning 6-4 to advance to the second round.

Fellow Barbadian Gabrielle Leslie was eliminated in the round of 32 after losing 6-3, 6-1 to Dominican Republic’s Ana Zamburek.
