Los Angeles once again took centre stage in the comedy world as Netflix is a Joke Festival returned for its third year. The week-long festival delivered more than 350 events across Los Angeles, bringing together established names and emerging voices in a line-up of varied and often one-of-a-kind performances, culminating in ‘The Roast of Kevin Hart’, hosted by Shane Gillis on Sunday at the Kia Forum. Of special mention is Jamaican comedian and digital creator Dale Elliott Jr., who made his joke fest debut last Thursday at The Ice House – California Room in Pasadena, a moment he described as “just the beginning”. Something Extra has the social highlights.
