RESIDENTS of Chaguanas and environs said yesterday the partial opening of the Solomon Hochoy Highway expansion project has had little impact on daily gridlock, especially for southbound commuters.
Bottlenecks at various locations were still causing jams especially at peak hours, they said, adding that they were anxiously awaiting the full opening of the highway to see whether the traffic will ease up, as promised by the Government.
Motorists including taxi drivers told the Express yesterday while they welcomed the partial opening, transitioning from the area of the Chaguanas flyover to Brentwood was still a traffic-laden exercise.
