In two weeks, the north-to-south commuter can expect an ease in traffic, as a third lane at the Chaguanas overpass will be available to motorists.
The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure stated yesterday that the roadworks in the vicinity of Bhagwansingh’s Hardware, would resolve the daily traffic in that area.
“At present, works on the widening of the Chaguanas to Chase Village project is advancing steadily, and the Ministry has estimated a two-week timeframe for the completion and opening of the third lane on the northbound bridge of the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway. This upgrade will significantly ease congestion in the area and provide a more sustainable solution to the traffic build-up,” it stated.
