Drivers heading south on the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway will see welcome traffic shift from Monday, as the Ministry of Works and Transport opens additional lanes between the Brentwood Acceleration Lane and the Chase Village Overpass.
According to the ministry, a 100-metre transition zone will be marked with traffic control devices to guide vehicles from two lanes into three near the Brentwood Acceleration Lane.
These three lanes will continue for about two kilometres before reaching the Chase Village Overpass. Approximately 400 metres north of the overpass, the left lane will transition into a deceleration lane leading onto the overpass.
