'I FELT hurt. It's embarrassing. I did not make a scene. Imagine I and my friend (Deshawn Hamilton) rescued a policeman. And six jeeps of policemen came and ransacked my place.'
So said Hummingbird Medal (Bronze) national awardee Terrance David after an early-morning raid at his Production Avenue, Sea Lots, Port of Spain, home on Wednesday.
David and Hamilton grabbed national headlines after they had rescued a police officer from a burning vehicle on September 5 last year. The officer's vehicle had crashed and burst into flames on the Beetham Highway, near Sea Lots. David and Hamilton were on their way to work when they stopped to help, ignoring the advice from other people to not risk their own lives.
