Former energy minister Stuart Young has called on the Government to be transparent on the terms of the provisional Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) licence for negotiations on the development of the Dragon gas project.
He commented on the announcement by the Attorney General that the Government had received an OFAC licence from the US Treasury Department which would expire in April 2026.
Young yesterday called on the Government to inform the population what were the terms and conditions of this “six-month licence” and to not use “confidentiality” as a shield against transparency.
