PRIME MINISTER Kamla Persad-Bissessar yesterday criticised Guardian Media Ltd (GML), describing it as an 'unethical puppet organisation' that had a history of 'demeaning' businesses and individuals.
The Prime Minister's rebuke came after one of the company's former senior investigative journalists disclosed that he resigned over what he described as 'organisational ethical failings'.
'This is no secret that GML is an unethical puppet organisation. It has a long history of smearing and demeaning businesses and individuals, stoking racial tensions, and promoting the special interests of persons affiliated with it. GML is not a media company, it is a weapon used to attack and destroy individuals, businesses and organisations who compete against the interests of persons affiliated with GML,' stated Persad- Bissessar in a social media post.
