(Kaieteur News) – The Ministry of Education has moved to rebuild Kingston Secondary School in Georgetown, issuing a tender for the construction of a new building.
According to a tender notice issued by the ministry, no engineer’s estimate was listed, however, the project will form part of the $100 billion approved for the Ministry of Education in 2026 National Budget. Out of the $100.2 billion, $34.9 billion has been allocated for secondary education this year.
The education ministry has been building new schools across the country to ensure children have access to education. The ministry has also been rehabilitating and rebuilding new nursery and primary schools to address overcrowding, and provide an improved and enhanced learning space for students and teachers.
