A 27-year-old man was wounded during a shooting incident in the Arima in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Police said the victim, of Printery Ville, O’Meara Road, reported that around 3.40 a.m. he was at the corner of Printery Ville Road, O’Meara Road and Second Street with a group of people when he was struck by gunfire.
According to investigators, the victim told police he had been shooting a gel blaster when he suddenly felt a burning sensation to his arm. He ran from the area and later sought medical attention.
