31 subcontractors benefit from the SPARK programme, says Morgan

KINGSTON, JamaicaâThe amount of work subcontracted by China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) under the SPARK programme to 31 subcontractors totals $900,000,000.00.
This was revealed by Minister with responsibility for Works, Robert Morgan in the House of Representatives on September 22, as he responded to questions posed by the Member of Parliament (MP) for St Ann South East, Dr Kenneth Russell.
Russell, had asked Morgan âwhat proportion of SPARK sub-contracts are awarded to Jamaican-owned firms and the proportion of total SPARK expenditure represented by these sub-contracts?â
