The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has activated measures to manage the country’s water supply as the 2026 Dry Season officially begins.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) declared the start of the Dry Season on Thursday, January 8, 2026, prompting WASA to implement its Dry Season Water Management Plan.
“As we enter this drier period, it is critical that both the Authority and citizens work together to manage water responsibly. We are closely monitoring our water resources and taking steps to maintain a sustainable supply throughout the Dry Season,” a WASA spokesperson said.
