The Water and Sewerage Authority has begun implementing measures to manage the country’s water supply, following the declaration of the start of the 2026 Dry Season by the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service on January 8, 2025.
WASA said it is closely monitoring water resources and taking steps to maintain a sustainable supply throughout the dry period, adding that cooperation between the Authority and the public is critical as conditions become drier.
The Authority reported that as of Thursday 8 January 2025, the country’s four main impounded reservoirs were above their respective long-term averages, placing WASA in a favourable position as the Dry Season begins.
