The Venezuelan government has accused Trinidad and Tobago of facilitating the lethal kinetic US boat strikes in the Caribbean that have thus far killed 94, alleging that the contentious US operations had murdered its citizens, as Caracas yesterday moved to abruptly terminate energy agreements with the twin island state.
In a press conference with the ruling United Socialist Party (PSUV) after the Venezuelan government condemned Trinidad and Tobago’s allowance of US military aircraft in its airspace, Justice Minister and senior party figure Diosdado Cabello alleged a link between recent maritime strike operations and the Caribbean country.
“In recent days it has been public, notorious, and in the media how they have made their territory available for operations. Covert military operations have led to the murder of several citizens, not accused in any court, but simply based on the opinion of those who carry out the murders, claiming they are drug traffickers.”
