A 20-year-old woman was doused with acid in Rio Claro, on Monday afternoon.
The attack was witnessed by dozens of people, moving around in the town centre at around 3.55pm.
The woman, of Agostini Village, Ecclesville, was standing on the pavement, near Scotiabank, when a man wearing a CEPEP uniform walked up and threw the liquid onto her face.
