THE Islamic Home for Children in Gasparillo has received a $54,000 donation from Marubeni Power International Inc.

This comes after Marubeni executives toured the Home, previewing the planned upgrades on March 18. The home’s board of directors outlined the goal of enhancing the home’s self-sufficiency through the expansion of agricultural activities and building a trade skills centre.

President of the home’s board Donna Ali said, “The Marubeni donation has provided us with much-needed funds which will greatly assist in the maintenance of our facilities.
