AFTER an eight-year hiatus following its last staging in 2018 and the challenges brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Islamic Home for Children in Gasparillo hosted its biennial bazaar, tea and barbecue last Saturday.
And despite the inclement weather, hundreds turned out to support the home’s ongoing work in caring for and nurturing underprivileged children.
The Express spoke with Hafsa Khan, public relations officer of the bazaar committee, who said the event attracted close to 1,000 patrons, with visitors coming out in large numbers to enjoy the many stalls and attractions.
